Dr. Dennis Sherman

Dr. Sherman has been providing patients with exemplary orthodontic care since 1988! Prior to that, he attended Clark University, which is where he earned his undergraduate degree. After that, he pursued his dental degree and post-graduate training at the world-renowned Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.

Passionate about providing each and every patient with the best orthodontic care, Dr. Sherman has pursued continuing education and advanced training throughout his decades-long career. Today, he is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, and several other professional organizations.

Dr. Sherman’s passion for serving his community extends beyond our office walls as well, which is why you’ll see him supporting local education and sports in his free time. He also enjoys spending time with his wonderful family during the evenings and on weekends.

Pediatric Orthodontics

Is your child around the age of seven? Then it’s time to schedule their first appointment with Dr. Sherman. Although this may seem early, this exam is designed to assess the development of their jaw as well as the position of their teeth to determine if they would benefit from pediatric orthodontics. If they would, then we will intervene with a custom treatment plan to help prevent issues like severe overcrowding from arising at all.

Adult Orthodontics

Did you know that your child should come in for their first orthodontic consultation around age seven? That’s because we need to assess the development of their jaw and the position of their teeth to determine if they would benefit from Phase 1 orthodontics. This orthodontic treatment uses appliances like space maintainers and even special braces to help address and prevent problems like severe overbites. Of course, your child may not need Phase 1 orthodontics as well. In that case, we recommend coming back in a few years to see if they need Phase 2 orthodontics.
